Hi, I’m Anthony and welcome to Thriftydad.ca. This blog follows my own financial journey as a dad and was started in September 2012, as an outlet for me, and as a way to connect to other’s having similar financial adventures or struggles.

What else can I say? I’m 30-something, happily married and proud father of two precious little girls. I’m no personal finance expert, but with all honesty, I can say that I’ve been pretty good with dealing with money. I have had a pretty good grasp of budgeting and saving like the Dickens for the things I want or need. But I also know how easy it can be for some to fall into that so-called money trap.

Thankfully for me, I don’t have many vices. I enjoy art, music, travelling, food, the list goes on and on… Ha! what I mean to say is, I can be pretty frugal… at times. But I also choose what to be frugal on, so I can choose to spend a little more on the things I enjoy. To me, that’s thrifty!

And to some extent fatherhood has changed some of that. And that’s what I’ve come to share with all you. So subscribe to my posts by email (through the form in the top right), follow Thrifty Dad on Bloglovin or your favourite RSS reader. You can also follow me on Twitter @thriftydadca or like me on Facebook and join me, week to week, for all things thrifty and uncomplicated.
